A Skylark Group conveyor-belt sushi shop in Yanagicho

Totoyamichi (魚屋路) Kawasaki Yanagicho is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant run by the Skylark Group. It is at 3-1 Yanagicho, Saiwai Ward, and opened on Feb 24, 2021.

  • It is open 10:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m., the same on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
  • You order at your seat from a tablet on the table (a digital menu book).
  • There are counter seats and a parking lot, and the whole restaurant is non-smoking.

In the evening it is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, and at lunchtime it serves reasonably priced lunches. The room is spacious and clean, and both the counter and the tables were comfortable. It is easy to drop in alone or on a date.

Weekday lunch: tuna trio bowl and seafood bowl

A bowl topped with tuna, negitoro and rolled omelet, next to a plate of shrimp tempura and a dish of tempura dipping sauce on the table

Two of us went for a weekday lunch and ordered one bowl each. One of us chose the "Tuna trio bowl (with tempura)." It is a hearty bowl piled high with tuna and negitoro, and it even comes with freshly fried, crispy tempura. This alone is very filling.

A seafood bowl topped with salmon, ikura, negitoro, rolled omelet and a shiso leaf

The other went for the "Salmon, ikura and negitoro seafood bowl," a colorful bowl with salmon, plenty of ikura, negitoro and rolled omelet. Packed with favorite toppings, it feels like a small treat.

Miso soup in a black bowl with lots of chopped green onion floating on top

At lunchtime, miso soup came free with our meals. The warm miso soup with green onion goes well with the seafood bowls. The taste is familiar and comforting. Above all, the big portions and reasonable prices are what make it worth a visit.
