Shin-Tsunashima MICCA opens Oct 28 by the station

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the shopping complex "Shin-Tsunashima MICCA" opens right in front of Shin-Tsunashima Station on the Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line. Tokyu announced it on September 25.

Its highlight is a 170-year-old farmhouse, kept and put to new use. The official website says the complex aims to carry on Tsunashima's history and memories while becoming a new hub for daily life.

The farmhouse, the "Ikegaya Family Residence main house," had been used as a home. It was certified as a Yokohama City historic building in January 2024 and designated a Yokohama special landscape historic building that November.

Opening event "MICCA Festival" on Nov 3

On Tuesday, November 3 (a holiday), the opening event "MICCA Festival" takes place. It is a market event you enjoy while walking around the complex, with these plans:

• A market under the eaves ("Nokishita Market")
• An outdoor film screening
• Talk events
• Workshops on traditional games and crafts

Details such as times will be posted on the official website and Instagram (@micca_shintsunashima).

Also on November 3, Saiwai Ward has the Autumn Zoo Festival at Yumemigasaki Zoological Park and the railway event "Tetsudo de Hagukumu Saiwai 2026" at the Hiyoshi Branch Office.

• Train: 1 minute's walk from Shin-Tsunashima Station (Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line), 5 minutes from Tsunashima Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line)
• Car: 9 parking spaces (¥300 per 30 min from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., ¥100 per 30 min from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.; no daily maximum)
• Bicycle: 90 spaces, free for the first hour

Parking fees are planned as of October 2026. On the Tokyu Toyoko Line, Tsunashima is the next station after Hiyoshi (toward Yokohama).
